The College of Health and Allied Sciences (CoHAS), University of Cape Coast, officially ushered in a new chapter of leadership on 1st August 2026 with the formal handing-over ceremony from the outgoing Provost, Professor Martins Ekor, to the incoming Provost, Professor Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah.
The School of Medical Sciences is one of the school established under the College of Allied Health.The School only run two undergraduate degree programme which is the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MbChB.), Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a post graduate programme which is Mphil. in Infection and Immunity. Our first batch, forty-two (42) medical doctors graduated from SMS-UCC in the year August, 2013 and were sworn in by the Medical and Dental Council, Ghana.
