The School of Medical Sciences is one of the school established under the College of Allied Health.The School only run two undergraduate degree programme which is the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MbChB.), Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a post graduate programme which is Mphil. in Infection and Immunity. Our first batch, forty-two (42) medical doctors graduated from SMS-UCC in the year August, 2013 and were sworn in by the Medical and Dental Council, Ghana.

14th Batch: White Coat Ceremony (UCCSMS)

The 14th batch of medical students at the University of Cape Coast School of Medical Sciences (UCCSMS), who have successfully completed their pre-clinical training in the basic sciences, have begun the clinical phase of their training.

The 141 students, decorated with spotless white coats and stethoscopes, swore an oath to provide the highest standard of ethical care for their patients as they undergo another three-year practical training in the hospital wards under the supervision of medical consultants and other healthcare professionals.
